December 2022 Prayer Requests

December 1 and 2 are holidays here in the UAE. December 1st is Commemoration Day when the country remembers fallen soldiers and civil servants who have died in service. It just became a national holiday in 2015. December 2nd is National Day. There will be events, celebrations and fireworks. Many residents will take advantage to travel or head to a resort with the 2 days off falling at the beginning of the weekend.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The malls are decorated and Christmas music is playing. Yes, even in this Muslim country, Christmas is celebrated. Christmas trees go up in homes and restaurants offer holiday fare. Most do not understand the full meaning of the holiday - to us a son is given. Pray that believers will have the opportunity to share about God’s indescribable gift! Merry Christmas!
