Escape

Yusuf and Ayesha and their children became refugees overnight as they had to flee physical persecution in their home country due to their faith.  A religious leader’s son had begun to read the Bible and he blamed it on this family.  A crowd was gathered and went to their house to hurt them.  The family narrowly escaped by climbing on their roof and jumping to their neighbor’s home while their captors were banging on their front door.

Now they are in Dubai and need employment.  Yusuf and Ayesha are both in the medical field with degrees and experience.  The family is marked by a joy and faith that only Jesus can give.

The faith community where Yusuf and Ayesha worship have been praying for employment opportunities for the couple.  As one member expressed, “We are desperate for God to powerfully show up and help us find them an employment opportunity.”  Yusuf and Ayesha have periods where they begin to lack faith and feel a bit stuck and discouraged.

• Pray that God would provide employment for Yusuf and Ayesha.

• Pray for encouragement for Yusuf and Ayesha.  Pray that the community of faith can stand in the gap for this hurting brother and sister.
